Responsibilities of Sayed Tanzid: 

Mr. Tanzid designed and drafted the complete structural system of a new 12,000 SF school building addition which consists of a 3-story building with 5,000 SF per floor and a 7,000 SF single-story building with long-span joists bearing on CMU walls. Design items include, reinforced CMU walls as shear walls, long-span steel joists, Steel columns, steel framing at 1st-floor level, foundation wall design, SOE System design, concrete foundation wall design, concrete-filled metal deck design. RAM Structural System was used to design the steel gravity framings of the building. ETABS was used to design the CMU shear walls and Moment Frames a lateral system. Coordination with existing building footing was crucial as the new building was adjacent to the existing school building.
